The Indian government has designed the tax slab of GST as per the product and the service type. The amount of taxes is 5%, 12%, 18% and 28%.
Know what is the price without GST. Here, for example, Rs 100.
Determine what the GST slab-column under which your product or service lies is.
It is 12% in our example. That means it is 12/100= 0.12.
To get the GST amount, do GST Rate*Net price. Here, it is 100*0.12=12.
The total amount would be GST amount + Net Price= 100+12=112.
This is the example where any net price has to be reached to gross price, a case of percentage increase calculation.
